Connect2Learn™
Program
details
 The
purpose and objective of the
Connect2Learn™ program
is to connect homes of
underprivileged students and their parents to the Internet for the purpose of
helping to reduce the disparaging line of the “Technology Divide”, while also,
helping to bridge the gap between education and technology.
This objective
and initiative will be accomplished by providing free computers, software, and
Internet connectivity to students who need tutorial assistance in the
subjects of math, science, or technology.
This program is
primarily funded by strategic corporate sponsors who donate computers,
software, and Internet connectivity. Public donations also help to support
this needy program as well. To donate computers, software,
Internet connectivity, or to make a financial contribution, please contact:

Qualified
students can apply by using the form below. All applications must be submitted
by an educator or school official.

Program
details
 KUI's
Ask The Professor™
program is the most powerful
E-Learning and tutorial solution on the web today.
Utilizing a proprietary
software, we can allow our
Ask The
Professor™
volunteers
(or virtual tutors) to tutor medically needy, home bound, disadvantaged, or at
risk students from the comfort of their home or a classroom
With students fully equipped with a computer and Internet
connectivity,
Ask The Professor™
volunteers would now be available to engage a tutorial session with as many students as
feasibly and reasonably possible, depending on the tutor and the type of
tutorial session. Students
can log in online using an assigned user name and password and begin to ask or
instant message
the
Ask The Professor™
volunteer
with their questions.

Community Assistance Fund
details
Today, many students are faced with severe economic hardships which impede their
ability to effectively learn. Many students live in homes without electricity,
heat, or running water. To compound the problem, many of these households can
not afford to purchase enough nutritional food nor adequate clothing to
effectively meet the needs of the children. In light of the economic situation
here in the US and around the globe, many parents are losing their jobs.
Therefore, adequate health care is now a major problem because parents no longer
have health insurance nor can afford to pay for Cobra coverage.
In efforts to assist needy students who are faced with
severe economic hardships, Kids Universe, Inc. has created the “Community
Assistance Fund” or “CAF”. The CAF will provide needy
students with the following financial assistance:
1)
In-Kind Assistance: Assistance with housing, food,
clothing and or utility expenses.
2) Medical Assistance:
Assistance with health and medical related expense.
3) Child Care
Assistance: Assistance with before and after school care
expenses.
4)
Transportation Assistance: Assistance with
emergency transportation expenses.
Teachers and school administrators can request financial
assistance for needy students by completing a CAF application form. KUI’s
SmartSkool Partner Schools will receive priority consideration over non
SmartSkool Partner Schools. Download application form below.
