Metro Atlanta-based vTor New Media, Inc. and Kids Universe, Inc. (a 501(c)3 non-profit organization) has teamed up to create the unique and innovative vKidsID® web based video identification system in efforts to help parents and law enforcement agencies quickly locate missing or abducted children.

This unique video identification system allows parents to register their children’s video identification profile securely online. This vKidsID® profile is then stored in a secure database managed by vTor New Media and Kids Universe.  With this unique video identification system, a video and audio record along with pertinent text information is captured to create a vKidsID® profile record. These records are strategically archived and can be quickly retrieved and dispatched to the proper authorities or agencies within minutes via the Internet.  More importantly, the video record of a child can be easily posted on websites, sent as video e-mail, and distributed as video banners without the need of downloading a media player, special software, plug-ins or having a special media server.

“With more than 2,000 missing children reported daily, we wanted to do something to help parents and the proper authorities locate these missing or abducted children as quickly as possible.  By archiving a visual, audio, and text record, we have the power to effectively broadcast this life saving information over the Internet rapidly,” stated Curtis Lee, Chairman of vTor New Media and a volunteer of Kids Universe.
